Emerson

During the last five years we have tried to conceive with the help of fertility doctors because I have PCOS. After years of struggling we saved up enough money to have an IUI and became pregnant. We were so happy that we were going to become parents. When we found out we were having a girl, we were extremely excited and couldn’t wait to have a daughter. Unfortunately, my water broke early due to an incompetent cervix that we didn’t know about. I gave birth to Emerson on May 6th, at home. It was the scariest and worst day of my entire life. My husband by my side, we spent two days with our daughter before handing her over to the funeral home. Never, in a million years did I think I would be 25 years old and paying for funeral expenses and being off work for weeks due to premature labor. We were planning on a nursery, and car seats, and college in the future. The Do More Foundation helped so much, and we were able to stay afloat until I was ready to go back to work. Thank you to Lori and The Do More Foundation in giving us hope during the worst time in our lives!
